Located in a renovated neo-Classical building, the Midwest Museum of American Art showcases American art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Visitors can view a permanent collection of over 2,000 works, from paintings to lithographs. Some artists commonly exhibited include Ansel Adams, Anthony Benton and Elkhart Juried. The museum is in the center of downtown, across the river and south of Burton-Upon Trent Park.
